Mets Bring in Colin Poche for Bullpen Depth

The Mets have signed left-hander Colin Poche to a minor league deal, adding him to Triple-A Syracuse as they look to reinforce their bullpen. Poche, 31, started the season with the Nationals but struggled, posting an 11.42 ERA over 13 appearances before being designated for assignment. Despite his early-season struggles, the Mets are giving him a chance to bounce back and potentially contribute at the major league level.

New York’s bullpen has been hit hard by injuries, with A.J. Minter and Danny Young both out for the season. While they recently added Génesis Cabrera, his inconsistency leaves room for additional depth. If Poche can regain his form, he may provide a stabilizing presence for the Mets as they navigate their bullpen challenges.
