Blue Jays Adjust Roster, Move Steward Berroa
The Blue Jays have made a series of roster adjustments, selecting right-hander Braydon Fisher and recalling outfielder Jonatan Clase from Triple-A Buffalo. To accommodate these moves, they optioned outfielder Alan Roden and right-hander Dillon Tate to Buffalo while designating Steward Berroa for assignment to free up space on the 40-man roster.
Roden, who earned a spot on the Opening Day roster after an impressive spring, has struggled offensively, batting .178/.262/.260 in limited playing time. Meanwhile, Clase has thrived in Triple-A, showcasing strong plate discipline and speed, hitting .315/.419/.371 with 15 stolen bases in 17 attempts. These changes reflect Toronto’s ongoing efforts to refine its roster as the season progresses.
