Clayton Kershaw Nearing Return as Dodgers Eye Rotation Reinforcement
Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw is inching closer to his 2025 season debut, with one final Triple-A rehab start scheduled for Sunday. Manager Dave Roberts expressed optimism about Kershaw’s progress, noting that he has been "throwing the baseball well" and building up his workload. Kershaw, who underwent knee and toe surgeries after the Dodgers’ World Series win last fall, has already completed four rehab outings, including a dominant six no-hit innings in the Arizona Complex League.
If all goes well, Kershaw could be activated from the 60-day injured list on May 18, providing much-needed stability for a Dodgers rotation plagued by injuries. With seven starters sidelined, Los Angeles has leaned on bullpen games to manage workloads. While Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell are in the early stages of their own rehab processes, Kershaw’s return could bring a significant boost to the team that still stands as a World Series favorite, even amidst roster challenges.
